Our intention is to offer classes and services to support your needs.  We offer a variety of classes to ensure a class for anyone interested in yoga, as well as private classes.  We go beyond training the body, and explore the mind-body union.

Meet Your Instructors

Janet yoga instructor at Evolve Yoga

Janet Parks began taking yoga classes in 1998. In 2008 she enrolled in a 200-hour teacher training program in San Diego, CA. In 2010 she opened Power Yoga Palm Springs, offering Power, Hot, Sculpt, gentle and private yoga sessions. In 2013 she received certification to offer a 200-yoga teacher training program at her studio. She has guided 108 wonderful yoga teachers. In addition she has offered 20-and 30-hour continuing education courses for yoga teachers in hot and gentle yoga.

Janet is dedicated to the practice of yoga, both in furthering her education and sharing what she knows. She continues to maintain her certification with Yoga Alliance and is delighted to be teaching at Evolve Yoga and Fitness. She considers it an honor and a responsibility to help yoga students experience the transformative power of yoga.

Brittany Carter has a lifelong background in dance. She intuited at the age of 3 that movement would be very important for her journey. Her awakening started the year she finished college when she accepted that her path would be a bit different than she thought. However, it truly began before her four month voyage through Southeast Asia, studying Buddhism, Hinduism, yoga, and meditation.

She sat in two silent Vipassana meditation retreats in Thailand, looking inward and uncovering immense peace. She studied a large variety of yoga styles in Thailand and Indonesia, from restorative to aerial to Iyengar.

Yoga, dance, and meditation became the vehicles for her connection to something higher within and without. She has just returned in May from two months in India where she completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh in Ashtanga and Vinyasa styles.

Brittany has since been traveling around Florida and Europe teaching, learning, and exploring along her yogic journey. She wishes to combine the strength and specificity of yoga with the fluidity and freedom of dance. Her goal is to help reconnect others with their own bodies and discover the wisdom that they have within.

Monica  tried a yoga sculpt class for the first time in Virginia 5 years ago because she needed to find an outlet for her stressful work life. She never expected that one class would open her eyes to all forms of yoga, she was hooked! She took all classes offered at the studio (Vinyasa Flows, Hot Power Fusions, Yin and Restorative).

Monica soon took a yoga teacher training course and received her 200-hr certification in August 2017, after 8 weeks of immersed yoga training!
Moving to Florida a few short months later, she was eager to find a studio where she could continue teaching various types of hot yoga.
Her goal is to have the students look at classes as their escape and simply to take the 60 minutes for themselves. “I want them to leave my class with a different perspective on the outside world, knowing they can handle anything life throws their way.”, say Monica

Tracy yoga instructor at Evolve Yoga

Tracy Carullo received her 200-Hour RYT from an Intensive Yoga Works International training program in Bali, Dec 2018. Yoga has become Tracy’s passion after some major challenges led her to the Yogi lifestyle to heal physically and emotionally.

She has a desire to focus on helping individuals heal, gain strength and find freedom through different aspects of Yoga.

Tracy has an extensive background in leadership, training, education and finds comfort in helping others. She is ready to grow and learn as an Instructor, as she challenges you to become the ‘best you’ through loving kindness.

Erin yoga instructor at Evolve Yoga

Erin has been practicing yoga for about 3 years. She found yoga after being diagnosed with epilepsy and needing a way to quiet my mind and still my body. She took her first teacher training just a few weeks after becoming involved in yoga community and has been hooked since.

“I’m so grateful for this practice and that I get to share it with other people!” says Erin.

Yoga Basics

This is a safe space for students who are brand new to yoga, as well as those who want to grow their practice from a strong foundation of postural alignment & skillful breathing. Strength & flexibility are not required, and will be gained through regular attendance. Poses will be explained in detail, and students are given time to find comfort and ease in each posture. All shapes, sizes, ages, and abilities are welcome in this class.

Ashtanga inspired Yoga is a method of yoga involving synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures—a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.

Bali Yoga is a class inspired by the tropical environment of Bali.

The movements in the class are gentle like the ocean breeze and flowing like the ocean waves.

A focus on anatomical alignment will help each student achieve success and comfort in each posture.

Think of the Bali Yoga class as your one hour mini vacation as you enjoy a lightly heated room and groovy flowing music that set the tone and texture for a mini escape from your busy life.

Hot yoga Fusion is a blend of the best of both power yoga and hot yoga. It is a Vinyasa or flowing style of yoga practiced in a heated, climate controlled, environment.

Practicing yoga with a group gives us a chance to develop healthy habits with friends, family, or co-workers and can be a lot of fun!

Restorative Yoga is what some call, “the Chocolate of yoga” It’s a way to open the body with passive stretches, using a variety of yoga props and holding the poses for long periods of time, in order for the body to open in a deep yet relaxing manner.
GREAT for all students. Prenatal friendly practice and wonderful for anyone with injuries and limitations. Like a tune-up, Restorative Yoga keeps your body running right!

This class is designed for all levels. Each movement is linked with the breath, creating a flow and connection with our bodies. Moving with the breath brings our focus out of our heads and into the inner wisdom.

This sequence is meant to welcome a little heat and energy into the body, refreshing our organs and nervous system. Creative movement and fun are emphasized. There is a focus on core strength and each class has a different theme.

Yin Yoga is a series of gentle floor postures that provide the body with a deeper stretch, more joint mobility and alleviates pain particularly in your hips, thighs, pelvis, and lower back.

You will remain in postures for 3-5 minutes to stimulate energy flow, increase your range of motion and prepare your body for meditation.

On Saturday’s mornings donation based “Yoga in the Square” classes are offered at Leesburg Towne Square in downtown Leesburg. The class is inspired by nature,a love of yoga and a dream to make yoga accessible to all by removing barriers such as props and intimidating settings. Students enjoy an one hour class which includes flowing postures to awaken and warm up the body followed by balancing, stretching and strengthening poses.

Yoga Sculpt is a total body workout designed to tone and sculpt every major muscle group.

Free weights serve as your own personal adjuster as you move through yoga sun salutations and other yoga postures, enabling extra length and depth in each yoga pose.

This intense, but easy to follow yoga program complements your regular yoga practice while pushing your strength and flexibility to new yoga heights.

Aerial Yoga is a combination of traditional yoga poses done on the floor, and postures practiced using a soft Aerial Hammock as a prop. Elevate your practice to new heights. No experience is necessary.

Intro to Aerial Yoga  is a class for students who want to try Arial yoga for the first time or for returning students who want to revisit the basics of Arial Yoga.

During the class, students will build strength and improve their flexibility. Each student will receive focused attention on how to use the hammock as a tool for support and resistance.

The class will incorporate yoga breathing techniques to help with focus and strength.

Arial yoga is a beautiful fusion of traditional yoga and the movement of today’s dynamic style.

The class ends with a guided meditation while students cocoon themselves completely in the comfort of the hammock.

Essential oils add an additional element to the experience that is a must for all yoga and exercise enthusiasts.

The yoga room for yoga sculpt is usually heated to between 80 and 90 degrees. Some yoga studios have started adding additional heat and humidity to increase the intensity of the class. Because the cardio portion of the class is intense, be prepared with water and a towel. Be willing to rest when you need to and go all out into the workout when you are ready. During the workshop students should expect that there will be a lecture or some time discussing the subject of the workshop in detail. Students will be given the opportunity to ask questions. Workshops are a great way to deepen your understanding of yoga and the many aspects of the practice.

We will provide a limited amount of yoga mats for yoga on the square. We hope to have many participants for the experience and do recommend that you bring your own yoga mat and a towel for extra padding. Yoga mats can be purchased for a reasonable cost, as low at $10 or a fancy mat may cost as much as $100. If you can afford it, bring your own mat. If not, we will be happy to provide one for you. We hope to see you on your yoga mat on the square!

Yoga on the square is a donation based practice. You can decide how much you would like to donate. The recommended donation is $10. Donations will be given to a local non-profit organization at the end of each month. The law of karma is one of the principals of Evolve Yoga, Leesburg and a part of the world wide yoga community. For yoga on the square you will need to bring yourself, and some friends, this is fun! Wear clothing that you can move easily in. Bring a towel for padding if you need it for your hands and knees. It is also good to bring a bottle of water in case you get thirsty. If you have a yoga mat, please bring it as well. We will provide a limited amount of yoga mats, but we could run out if lots of people attend. Most importantly bring a spirit of community. We are in this together and we hope we can all enjoy sharing this transformative experience with you. Bring an open mind, a willingness to try something different. Power flow in moving the body in rhythm with the breath. The power flow sequences are designed to ignite the energy in the body by moving mindfully with the breath, one breath at a time. the initial sequence of the power flow is explained slowly, holding each posture for three to five breaths, then the postures are done moving with the breath. Each breath in is one movement and each exhale inspires the next movement. It is a dance of the body and the breath which helps to build strength, flexibility and focus for the students practicing the power flow.

Our power yoga classes are one hour long. We do our best to always start on time. If you are coming in for your first time arrive at least 15 minutes early in order to check in with your yoga teacher and get your space set up in the yoga room. This extra time will be used putting your shoes in a cubby and you may need to use the restroom before class. Expect your power yoga class to finish on time every time.
